The article deals with the attempt to examine and give the analysis of the images in the concentrated story “Flypaper” by Austrian writer Robert Musil. The specificity of the allegory of suffering as one of the main components of the context and image making, its functioning are characterized; the topic of identity crisis and loss of personal social comprehension under war conditions, helplessness and death is developed.
