SYSTEMS ANALYSIS AND DECISION THEORY IN THE TRAINING OF COMPUTER SCIENCE SPECIALISTS

The article identifies the problems of mastering systems analysis and decision-making theory by higher education students and develops separate methods for their solution.Namely, our goal was to determine the ways of overcoming these problems by future computer science specialists and, in particular, to determine practical methods for forming students' systems thinking for their effective study of complex systems.We analyzed the sources of information and the experience of colleagues and our own pedagogical experience regarding the problems of mastering systems analysis and decision- making theory by students. Important components of these problems that are common to both educational components are highlighted. In particular, this is the problem of a high level of abstraction and complexity of research objects for students. It is noted that one of the ways to overcome the problems is to consider a large number of practical examples.We provide a list of possible examples of systems and practical problems of decision- making theory in them.What is new, compared to related studies, is the detailing of existing ones and the definition of separate methods of teaching systems analysis and decision-making theory to future computer science specialists. An example from our experience of practical application of these methods is described.The result of our research is the determination of ways to form systems thinking by future computer science specialists who are able to make informed decisions in complex systems, will allow them to choose the optimal course of action under conditions, in particular, of uncertainty or multiplicity of criteria. Therefore, this should contribute to improving the quality of training of information technology specialists who are able not only to understand social problems, but also to effectively solve them.
