SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF YOUTH INVOLVEMENT IN SPORTS AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE CONTEXT OF TRANSFORMATION OF HIGHER AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IN INDEPENDENT UKRAINE

Abstract

The article presents a scientific analysis of the social determinants of student youth involvement in sports and recreational activities in the context of the transformation processes taking place in the field of higher and vocational education in Ukraine since independence. Attention is focused on the relevance of the problem of preserving and strengthening the physical health of students in the context of urbanization, digitalization, psycho-emotional stress and socio-economic instability.The expediency of an interdisciplinary approach to studying the factors that determine the level of youth involvement in SES and cover four main groups of determinants: socio- cultural, economic, motivational and psychological, and institutional and organizational.Within each of the vectors, specific barriers and incentives to physical activity are analyzed, and their impact on the formation of a healthy lifestyle culture in the student environment is determined.Special attention is paid to the role of information and communication technologies as a tool for personalizing the educational process in the field of physical education. It is proved that digital platforms can be an effective means of increasing students' physical activity, promoting inclusiveness and accessibility of sports and recreational practices.The article also presents an analysis of the regulatory, legal, organizational and resource framework for the functioning of the SES in higher and vocational education institutions and proposes strategic guidelines for its improvement.It is concluded that the involvement of young people in sports and recreational activities should be viewed as a complex social process that requires coordinated cross-sectoral efforts of government agencies, educational institutions and civil society. Such an approach creates the basis for the formation of a physically active, psycho-emotionally stable and socially responsible personality capable of full self-realization in a modern society.
