METHODOLOGICAL TRAINING OF FUTURE PHYSICAL CULTURE SPECIALISTS FOR PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY IN THE CONTEXT OF COMPETENCE-BASED EDUCATION

Abstract

The article outlines modern aspects of methodological training of future physical education specialists for professional activity in higher education, which is determined by the competency-based approach as a priority. Numerous researches of scientists on this problem in separate areas are characterized. Attention is focused on the concepts of «professional training», «vocational training». The aim of the article was to determine the features of methodological training of future physical education specialists with a master's degree for professional activity in the context of competency-based education.The author's concept of «methodological training» is formulated as a process through which higher education applicants master the methods, techniques, and means of teaching physical education in a general secondary education institution in the context of a new theoretical and methodological model; «methodological competence» as a system of knowledge, skills and abilities from the basics of physical education teaching methodology, acquired practical experience and established democratic, moral and ethical values. It is indicated that methodological training includes two components: theoretical and practical. To master the theoretical part in higher education, the importance of using a system of traditional and innovative teaching methods is emphasized. Some innovative teaching methods on the basis of the discipline «Methodology of Teaching Physical Culture in General Secondary Education Institutions» for higher education graduates with a master's degree in the specialty A4.11 Secondary Education (Physical Culture) were offered. The algorithm for using the following is described: lecture-research, interactive lecture, lecture-discussion, lecture with frame supports (lecture classes); creation of a quasi-professional environment - modeling situations, business game, design, activity- oriented method, «clustering» (practical classes). The emphasis is placed on nurturing national-patriotic feelings of schoolchildren, the role of sports in ensuring a healthy lifestyle, and the formation of moral and ethical qualities.
