A STEP-BY-STEP INSTITUTIONAL MODEL OF ADAPTING THE SYSTEM OF HIGHER MILITARY EDUCATION TO NATO STANDARDS

Abstract

The article substantiates the theoretical and applied principles of the formation of a step-by-step institutional model of adaptation of the higher military education system of Ukraine to NATO standards in the conditions of escalation of threats in the security sphere. The key contradictions between the traditional organization of the educational process and the requirements of the modern combat environment have been identified, which actualizes the need for a systematic rethinking of approaches to the training of specialists in the military direction. The purpose of the study is to develop and substantiate a step-by-step institutional model that combines the logic of successive transformations with proper institutional support for their implementation. Within the scope of the work, a model of adaptation of the higher military education system to NATO standards is proposed, which provides for the phased implementation of analysis and diagnostic processes, regulatory and legal coordination, updating educational programs on a competent basis, integration of education, training and evaluation, implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence tools, as well as further monitoring and improvement. It has been proven that the effectiveness of the model is ensured by the coordinated interaction of educational, organizational, international and technological components, taking into account various factors, in particular the development of human capital, innovative culture and partnership interaction with the security and defense sector. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the formation of a holistic mechanism for the modernization of military education, which ensures the improvement of the quality of education through the strengthening of its applied orientation, flexibility and adaptability to changes in the nature of threats. The proposed approach contributes to the harmonization of educational standards, the expansion of opportunities for integration into the international educational space and the achievement of operational compatibility with NATO structures, which collectively creates the basis for the training of competitive military specialists of the new generation.
