Abstract

In the modern world, the need for knowledge of the English language is growing, which necessitates the introduction of the latest technologies to increase the effectiveness of education. Artificial intelligence is becoming an important tool in this process, providing innovative methods and tools for developing students' communication skills. This article is devoted to a literature review and existing research on the use of artificial intelligence technologies in English language teaching. The purpose of this study is to review the existing research and literature on the use of artificial intelligence-based technologies in English language learning environments. It examines various methods by which artificial intelligence can help English language learners improve their communication skills,

including speaking, listening, reading and writing. Thanks to the personalized approach and interactive capabilities of artificial intelligence, students receive an individualized learning experience that contributes to better learning of the material. Research shows that artificial intelligence technologies such as speech recognition systems and virtual tutors can significantly improve students' pronunciation and speaking skills. In addition, adaptive learning platforms using artificial intelligence enable students to work on an individualized learning trajectory, adapting materials and tasks to their needs. The article also discusses the ethical aspects of using artificial intelligence in language learning, in particular the issues of data confidentiality and algorithmic bias. It is important to ensure that AI technologies are used responsibly and fairly, protecting students' rights and providing equal access to educational resources. However, despite the promising results, there is a need for further research to examine the long-term impact of AI on language learning. Longitudinal studies are needed to assess the stability and duration of the results achieved. It is also important to determine optimal strategies for integrating artificial intelligence into curricula and pedagogical approaches. Thus, this article highlights the transformative role of artificial intelligence in English language education and its potential to meet the diverse needs of students. Using artificial intelligence effectively and ethically can significantly improve learning outcomes and promote the development of communication skills necessary for successful integration into a globalized world.
